(Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).</p> <ul> <li>Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts </li><li>Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only) </li><li>Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift </li><li>Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff </li><li>Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City </li><li>Healthcare options are available for staff members </li><li>401k plan with company match </li></ul> <p>PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Snowmaking Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the snowmaking manager to meet Deer Valley's snowmaking objectives through effective management of staff and equipment.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in daily snowmaking, equipment assignments, and mountain inspections. </li><li>Assist in overseeing snowmaking contractors and mentor the DV team </li><li>Assist in maintenance and operation of all snowmaking machines and equipment </li><li>Oversee summer maintenance of snow guns </li><li>Mentor and develop staff on the snowmaking team </li><li>Assist in developing departmental safety and risk management policies and techniques </li><li>Effectively perform and supervise the snow removal plan </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of two seasons at Deer Valley as a snowmaker required </li><li>Ability to use all Deer Valley snowmaking equipment </li><li>Mechanical aptitude of snowmaking equipment </li><li>Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive snowmobiles, snow cats, heavy equipment, and other vehicles. </li></ul> <p>DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Year Round </li></ul> <p>Deer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
