<p>Extended School Year - Behavior Technician</p> <p>Reports To: ESY Coordinator Danvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year - Behavior Technician for the ESY program. This is a non-benefited, part-time seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a Monday-through-Thursday program, running from July 7, 2025, to August 7, 2025</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement evidence-based interventions and behavior management techniques, aimed at improving students' skills and reducing challenging behaviors.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA for students with autism or other developmental disorders. Provide direct one-on-one therapy to students, focusing on skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, daily living, and self-regulation. Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new behaviors and reduce undesired behaviors. Collect accurate data on student progress, behavior occurrences, and other relevant metrics during therapy sessions. Provide positive reinforcement to clients and use behavior management strategies to encourage desired behaviors. Teach students functional life skills, including independent living skills, communication strategies, and socialization techniques. Collaborate with the BCBA, supervisors, and other team members to ensure consistency and fidelity of treatment implementation across different settings. Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students, while promoting their independence and self-confidence. Maintain up-to-date records, including session notes, data collection sheets, and progress reports.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>The Danvers Public School District is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in education and employment.
