<p>Description:</p> <p>Schedules surgeries under guidance of Office Manager and Surgeons to provide effective and efficient use of</p> <p>surgical time.</p> <p>Reports to: Office Managers and Specialty Market Manager</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>Communicates with surgeons, insurance companies, multiple hospital departments and patient to</p> <p>appropriately schedule surgeries while efficiently and effectively utilizing surgical block time.</p> <p>Understands HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.</p> <p>Receives information from surgeons on procedure, CPT Codes, location of procedure, and uses judgement on</p> <p>surgical time needed.</p> <p>Work collaboratively with multiple departments to efficiently coordinate patient preoperative needs.</p> <p>Coordinate post-operative follow-up needs within the office.</p> <p>Maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly surgery schedule within the office.</p> <p>Cross trained as back up to other office positions as requested.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required</p> <p>Associates degree or technical diploma/certificate in related-field - Preferred.</p> <p>Required Skills:</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be</p> <p>able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Possess excellent time management skills</p> <p>and ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to work independently and utilize independent</p> <p>judgement.</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience:</p> <p>Previous experience in a medical setting or similar high-pace environment - Preferred.</p>
