<p>Job Posting</p> <p>The City of Springdale is currently accepting applications for the position of FIELD CREW LEAD. This posting will remain open until the position is filled.</p> <p>The incumbent is responsible to perform maintenance tasks, delegate tasks, and coordinate work assigned by the Building Maintenance Supervisor for their assigned crew.</p> <p>Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and 2 years of related experience and/or training; and a minimum of 12-18 months of management experience.</p> <p>Starting salary is $39,954</p> <p>To apply, you must submit a City of Springdale application.</p> <p>https://www.springdalear.gov/o/springdale/page/current-job-openings</p> <p>Resumes will not be accepted without an accompanying application.</p> <p>The City of Springdale is an EOE and drug free workplace.</p> <p>This position is classified as safety sensitive.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers; maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize tasks and assign tasks to members of the work crew.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate equipment including, but not limited to riding lawn mowers, push mowers, weed trimmers, chain saws, and hand tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate heavy equipment including a front end loader, tractor, drag, four wheelers, and Gators.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the needs fulfillment of parks and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect park areas and equipment as scheduled, and maintain accurate maintenance records.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible to acquire all tickets for park maintenance and submit them to the Building Maintenance Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Report vandalism, hazardous conditions, and park facility closings to Building Maintenance Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible to follow safety procedures set by the Department and City policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Repair equipment as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Keep park facilities clean, maintained and stocked with supplies as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related duties as required or assigned by Building Maintenance Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and oversee full-time and temporary workers at their assigned location.</p> </li><li> <p>Repair equipment as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs any work related tasks requested.</p> </li><li> <p>When requested by Building Maintenance Supervisor, assists with general maintenance of other park facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as required or assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Directly supervises seven non-supervisory positions within the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>High school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and 2 years of related experience and/or training; and a minimum of 12-18 months of management experience.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver's License.</p> <p>PUBLIC CONTACT</p> <p>As needed contact with the general public, businesses, and equipment and material suppliers.</p> <p>EMPLOYEE CONTACT</p> <p>Regular contacts within the department and with other departments as needed.</p> <p>USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS</p> <p>Must be proficient in the use of riding lawn mowers, front end loaders, weed trimmers, four wheelers, Gators, a push mower, and chain saws.</p> <p>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects.
