<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Unified Communications Director (Hands-on) for a contract to hire, on site position in midtown New York, NY. This could also be considered a senior-level Unified Communications Lead. This role is an exceptional opportunity with a well-known and respected client!</p> <p>Summary: We are seeking an experienced Unified Communications or Telecommunications professional to support, administer, and optimize enterprise and hospital-based communication systems. This role supports mission-critical services across multiple facilities and leads large-scale telecommunications projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support, administer, and optimize enterprise voice, data, VoIP, and RightFax systems </li><li>Troubleshoot complex network and telecommunications issues and perform root cause analysis </li><li>Lead and manage telecommunications projects impacting multiple sites </li><li>Oversee daily operations for PBX, VoIP, mobile devices, paging systems, and related technologies </li><li>Collaborate with vendors and carriers to support implementations and resolve outages </li><li>Maintain system documentation, inventories, and operational standards </li><li>Provide leadership, guidance, and training to junior staff </li><li>Ensure high availability of critical communications services, including 24/7 support coverage* Strong experience with unified communications, VoIP, PBX, RightFax, and enterprise network environments </li><li>Hands-on experience with Cisco voice and network technologies, circuits, switching, etc. preferred </li><li>Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills </li><li>Proven ability to lead projects and manage multi-site environments </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Strong preference for Healthcare or Telecommunications industry experience like ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile US </li></ul>
