<p>Looking for a Design Engineering Internship for spring 2026? AeroControlex Group, an aerospace manufacturer located in South Euclid, is looking for a full-time or part-time intern to join the team.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare models and or drawings of components and assemblies. </li><li>Assist Design Engineers with support activities such as researching specifications, test methods, etc. </li><li>Assist Design Engineers with technical documents such as technical proposals, test reports, failure reports, etc. </li><li>Generate and or review drawing changes with drafters. </li><li>Purchase prototype hardware and manage vendors </li><li>Create and or review drawing release packages, drawing revisions and other design documentation in concurrence with company procedures. </li><li>Assist engineering lab technicians with building and testing prototypes </li><li>Assist engineering lab technicians with entering test data and inspections </li><li>Complete other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must be action oriented and self -starters. </li><li>Must be comfortable occasionally working in a hands-on engineering lab to help technicians set up tests, tear down parts, etc. </li><li>Must be a good communicator and able to interact with other groups outside of engineering. </li><li>Ability to effectively oversee small to medium tasks or projects. </li><li>Candidates should have a basic understanding of how to read drawings, drawing layouts, tolerance stack-ups, and material specifications </li><li>Familiarity with the following is preferred: Machining, Welding, Plating, Metallurgy, Coatings, Heat Treating, Casting, Additive Manufacturing Techniques </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>CAD Drafting/3-D Solid Modeling (Solidworks preferred), Word Processing (MS Word), MS Excel for Graphing and Spreadsheets, MS PowerPoint </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Data Acquisition Software (Labview preferred), Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred), Program Schedules (MS Project) </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Sophomore - senior year or equivalent is preferred for undergraduate students </li><li>Completed classes in the following subjects is preferred: Fluid Dynamics, Statics & Dynamics, Design of Mechanical Components, Vibration, Stress and Strain, Strength of Materials, (Core engineering curricula) </li></ul> <p>This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.</p> <p>An equal employment opportunity employer.
