<p>The Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services has a vacancy. This position is located in the Production Support Services section. Req. 217995</p> <p>The Office of Technology Services aims to be a responsible partner in delivering innovative, effective, and reliable solutions that support and enhance the IT functions within Executive Branch Departments. The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State's investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff.</p> <p>The Division of Administration is the state government's management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing the state's capital construction program </li><li>Working to provide state and federal grants for community development </li><li>Development of the state budget </li><li>Providing technology services </li><li>Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process as they seek goods and services </li><li>Administering a program that provides federal funds to help Louisiana residents recover from a series of devastating hurricanes </li></ul> <p>Two years of experience in information technology; OR</p> <p>Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR</p> <p>An associate's degree in information technology or accounting; OR</p> <p>A bachelor's degree.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:</p> <p>Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.</p> <p>NOTE:</p> <p>A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties:</p> <p>Maintains a working knowledge of Production Support Services (PSS)'s overall business strategy within the Office of Technology Services, including PSS information services requirements, present organizational status and short-and long-term strategic plans. Provides consultative or direct support in the areas of organizational administrative operations by supporting the centralization of internal PSS procurement information security and internal controls, safety & risk management, training & compliance, and operational and other internal reporting requirements, including but not limited to developing, implementing, and tracking business leading and lagging performance indicators.</p> <p>Assists designated PSS project principals with the design, implementation, facilitation, execution, and ongoing evaluation of information technology projects supporting the continuous, statewide consolidation of printing and reproduction, mailing and physical logistics, and related information technology requirements; and consults on, develops, coordinates the maintenance of, and oversees the management of assigned project deliverables, documentation, and reports. Prepares and delivers updates, reports, and presentations for the benefit of project principals, PSS, OTS, and Division administrators, and for other principals, including for PSS customer agencies and their stakeholders.</p> <p>Coordinates and facilitates administrative tasks for agency management, such as timekeeping and payroll, the centralization of PSS procurement, information security, internal controls, safety, risk management, training, compliance, and operational and other internal reporting requirements.</p> <p>Coordinates and facilitates communications with and among PSS and OTS administrators and executives, and principals of agencies served; and assists with the coordination and oversight of third parties contracted by OTS to serve certain PSS business requirements, in support of one or more PSS business projects or business initiatives related to the statewide consolidation of printing and reproduction, mailing and logistics, and related information technology systems.</p> <p>Assists in PSS long-range strategic planning tasks, including the preparation of cost benefit analyses, budget requests, advance planning documents, and RFPs and ITBs associated with major projects on acquisitions involving both information technology systems and the programs of customer agencies.</p> <p>Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence relative to the ongoing statewide consolidation of printing and mailing technology, including documentation of systems performance and organizational changes.</p> <p>Other duties</p> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: This vacancy will be filled by a new hire or by promotion of a current permanent status classified employee.</p> <p>Career Progression: This vacancy participates in a career progression group and may be filled from this recruitment as an OTS Statewide Operations Associate 1, 2, 3 or 4.</p> <p>Louisiana is a "State as a Model Employer" for People with Disabilities. </p> <p>How To Apply:</p> <p>No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy. </p> <p>To apply for this vacancy, click on the "Apply" link above and complete an electronic application which can be used for this vacancy as well as future job opportunities.
