<p>Job Overview: A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance to ensure equipment, machinery, facilities, and building systems operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime. Maintenance Technicians support daily operations by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems while adhering to safety and compliance standards.</p> <p>Major Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance functions. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural issues. Repair or replace defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, sensors, valves, and wiring Seek and consult with higher level position for more complex issues. Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner. Collaborate with operations, production, or facility teams to minimize equipment downtime. Assist in installation, setup, and testing of new equipment or machinery. Read blueprints, wiring and circuit diagrams. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures during repairs and inspections. Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability. Perform other duties as necessary</p> <p>Required Skills/Experience</p> <p>Required</p> <p>High school diploma or GED. Prior experience (8+ Years) in industrial, commercial, or building maintenance. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks.</p> <p>Preferred</p> <p>Technical trade school certification or associate degree. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Familiarity with PLCs, HVAC systems, forklift operation, or welding. Professional certifications (e.g., HVAC EPA 608, maintenance technician certifications).</p> <p>Key Competencies</p> <p>Mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Safety-focused mindset Communication skills Time management Ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and in working with a personal computer and various relevant software tools</p>
