Your attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills will be utilized to map processes, create procedures, and deliver reports/insights on sales and the PET Sheet market. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience and exposure to a relevant segment of the packaging supply chain and the global plastics industry.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>The student selected as the Commercial-Sales Intern will work at our CA - Columbia Site located in Gaston, SC. Interns are reportable to their assigned team's supervisor and will directly be exposed to various aspects of commercial operations & strategy, international business, and supply chain in the Alpek Polyester Sheet organization.</p> <p>Students will have the opportunity to collaborate cross functionally with other personnel and teams to accomplish their assigned projects and tasks including:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the day-to-day tactical functions that directly support the US Sheet Commercial team </li><li>Process Mapping, Data Analysis, Market Research, SOP creation </li><li>Complete special projects and assignments as directed. </li><li>Successful execution of job responsibilities requires the ability to operate independently and effectively utilize initiative, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program from an accredited college/university</p> </li><li> <p>Majoring in International Business, Supply Chain and Operations, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant disciplines</p> </li><li> <p>Availability to work full time (40 hours/ week) for the 3-month duration of intern assignment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to understand sales and supply chain processes in a large, global manufacturing enterprise</p> </li><li> <p>Shows deep curiosity and eagerness to learn across multiple domains</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient or advanced data analysis skills</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with business process mapping and business process optimization</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to make good judgment decisions</p> </li><li> <p>Willing and able to take initiative</p> </li><li> <p>Self-motivated</p> </li><li> <p>Professional level of integrity</p> </li><li> <p>Team-oriented</p> </li><li> <p>Good problem-solving skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Alpek Polyester USA, LLC is a global leader in the production of PTA (Terephthalic Acid), PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Resins, PET Recycling (rPET), and Specialty Polymers.
