<p>ELA & Math Interventionists</p> <p>Mission</p> <p>Global Preparatory Academy develops compassionate global leaders through a rigorous education program that focuses on hands-on, cultural and Spanish immersion learning opportunities.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Global Prep Academy, a dual language school that connects students from diverse linguistic backgrounds and educates them together in a highly rigorous, engaging and nurturing environment. Using both English and Spanish to instruct students in all core content areas, students will develop high levels of bilingualism and biliteracy, as well as a deep value and understanding of other cultures. As citizens in a global world, students at Global Prep gain limitless access to other cultures through bilingualism and instruction, which emphasizes critical thinking using global perspectives and experiential learning.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Global Preparatory Academy seeks dedicated, student-centered Part-Time ELA & Math Interventionists to provide targeted academic support in small group settings. From December to May, interventionists will work with identified small groups of students providing intentional and explicit remediation on high priority grade level skills.</p> <p>Interventionists work closely with classroom teachers and report directly to the Dual Language Director who coordinates student intervention.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities and Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Provide small-group instruction (3-8 students) aligned to skill gaps in ELA or Math. </li><li>Lead engaging lesson plans aligned to grade level skills using research-aligned instructional strategies. </li><li>Document student progress and communicate with classroom teachers, families and building principals. </li><li>Meet regularly with classroom teachers and your direct supervisor to discuss student progress and instructional needs. </li><li>Communicate student progress, concerns, and breakthroughs in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality aligned to scheduled tutoring hours. </li><li>Uphold all school expectations related to confidentiality, student safety, professionalism, and dual language program integrity. </li><li>Support a positive, nurturing learning environment that aligns to GPA's core values: Service, Global Mindedness, Compassion, Excellence, and Leadership. </li></ul> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Licensed teacher with bachelors degree </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Ability to create structured plans plans and maintain accurate progress data </li><li>Commitment to the mission of dual language education </li></ul> <p>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred</p>
