Our service offering includes primary medical care, behavioral health, pharmacy and dental services in an integrated model that provides a comprehensive approach to care for our patients.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Front Office Associates I - Medical at our Harvest Family Health Center location in Elm City, NC interact with patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner in person or by phone. They also serve the patient and the Center by providing scheduling, reception, registration and exit services.</p> <p>THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.</p> <p>Essential Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Check patients in and out for appointments, including walk-in patients, and consult with medical staff regarding chief complaints. </li><li>Answer incoming calls, transfer calls appropriately, check messages and return calls as needed. </li><li>Schedule and reschedule patient appointments over the phone and in person. </li><li>Open office at start of business day and close at the end of business day. </li><li>Register new patients and scan all documents into the electronic health record. </li><li>Collect various methods of payment and apply payments to patient balances. </li></ul> <p>Experience and Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Minimum two years of experience in a similar environment. </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>High level of professionalism and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8 am - 5 pm, day shift</p> <p>Thursday 11 am - 8 pm, evening shift</p> <p>8-hour shift</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Potential sitting or standing for long periods of time, occasional bending, stooping, lifting including of patients, reaching forward and overhead.
