<p>Overview & Responsibilities</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>Are you ready to launch your career in a dynamic, highly specialized industry? Elliott Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Project Manager. This entry-level role is the control center for complex industrial equipment repair projects, offering you the unique opportunity to develop foundational project management, technical coordination, and commercial skills.</p> <p>You will learn to manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial customer inquiry and quotation development to final execution and invoicing. This position is a continuous, structured process focused on planning, coordinating, documenting, and managing repair orders for both Elliott and non-Elliott turbomachinery equipment.</p> <p>Communication with both internal teams and external customers is essential for success in this role. You will be a vital point of contact, ensuring everyone understands project progress and timelines. While travel is expected to be minimal, there may be occasional trips to customer sites or our Jeannette, PA headquarters for essential training or meetings.</p> <p>What You Will Learn and Be Responsible For:</p> <p>This role is designed to build your career from the ground up, starting with core project coordination and control tasks. The complexity of projects you manage will increase as you grow in the role.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Project Planning & Initiation: Gather and organize all necessary technical and logistical data to support the preparation of precise repair quotations, including scope, cost estimates, and lead-times.</p> </li><li> <p>Project Control & Execution: Support the successful implementation of confirmed orders by processing required documentation, coordinating materials and parts ordering, and managing subcontract requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all project documentation, including creating accurate and detailed production work scopes, coordinating job folders, and preparing information for final invoicing and filing.</p> </li><li> <p>Cross-functional Communication: Act as the central communication link by maintaining formal written updates, directing customer meetings, and holding internal review sessions with shop personnel, sales, and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Customer & Financial Management: Review customer purchase orders to ensure alignment with quotations, track project expenditures, and monitor progress to help the team meet established profit goals. You will actively help promote future business by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Technical Development: Work closely with the shop team to properly analyze inspection reports and coordinate the correct actions, allowing you to develop a technical understanding of repairs for various types of equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Overtime: Due to the demanding nature of project deadlines, Project Managers are eligible for overtime, and scheduled weekend support may be required to keep projects on track.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: We Value Aptitude and Potential</p> <p>We are looking for self-motivated individuals eager to master project management fundamentals and dive into the specialized field of turbomachinery repair.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: An Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial) is preferred, as it provides a strong technical and analytical foundation.</p> </li><li> <p>Aptitude: Must possess a high mechanical and problem-solving aptitude-a critical thinking skill essential for anticipating risks and troubleshooting issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Core Skills (Required):</p> </li><li> <p>Organizational Mastery: Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills are essential for managing the high flow of tasks, meetings, and documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for translating complex details into clear, actionable updates for diverse audiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Technology Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including the ability to utilize multiple databases and systems to track and manage concurrent projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Resilience: Self-motivation and the ability to handle demanding deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities is key for success.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to build and grow positive working relationships with internal teams and external customers of varying backgrounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Growth Mindset: A strong willingness to learn, adapt quickly to a new industry, and contribute to the team by teaching others</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience (A plus, but not required):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior exposure to a repair shop environment and/or turbomachinery.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in customer relations and sales, providing a valuable foundation for the commercial functions of this position.</p> </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Ebara Elliott Energy is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by the federal, state or local laws of the United States.
