<p>About Berkshire Community College:</p> <p>Berkshire Community College (BCC) has the distinction of being the first community college established in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Hills, our nearly 2,000 students have access to a wide range of career and transfer programs on our newly renovated campus. BCC seeks to recruit diverse employees who embrace, as well as demonstrate, a commitment to diversity and inclusion and whose experiences and perspectives model the opportunities and success derived from a college education.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The OLLI at BCC is seeking a Program Manager, responsible for managing the recruitment of instructors and volunteers for our four semesters of courses, partnering with volunteers and committees on the design of our curriculum, partnering with volunteers for the design and implementation of our travel programs, working with our staff team on a portfolio of programs and classes, and managing a variety of associated print and digital projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the core curriculum of 4-5 terms of courses, including course development and working with curriculum committees and instructors </li><li>Manage travel program </li><li>Train instructors on technology </li><li>Manage course catalog process </li><li>Assist team with staffing a portfolio of classes and programs, including some night and weekend hours. </li><li>Create online catalog webpages </li><li>Collect and edit instructor videos </li><li>Create Padlet webpage (LMS) for all courses, update administrative padlets (i.e. board) </li><li>Design, edit, and produce OLLI publications including the course catalog and newsletter, graphics for social and website </li><li>Manage the Shared Interest Group (SIG) program (OLLI member clubs) </li><li>Update webpages and event listings </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree; and at least five years of experience in education and/or volunteer management. </li><li>Experience building strong relationships with volunteers. </li><li>Experience developing curricula, or in teaching. </li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. </li><li>Proficiency with MS Office Suite and web editing tools. </li><li>Proficiency with basic design skills for publiciations. </li><li>Experience working in a collaborative manner with diverse constituencies. </li><li>Experience working with older adults. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Canva or other design software </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Source of Funding: State </li><li>Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 per year, full-time, benefited </li><li>Area of Assignment: OLLI </li><li>Non-Unit Professional </li><li>Effective Date: May 2025 </li></ul> <p>Pursuant to the Clery Act of 1990 a copy of Berkshire Community College's security report is available on the BCC Website.</p> <p>BCC is committed to providing an inclusive learning and working environment that values the diverse backgrounds of all people and encourages applications from individuals whose experiences and perspectives model the opportunities and success derived from a college education.</p> <p>Berkshire Community College is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on basis of race, creed, religion, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information, maternity leave, military service, and national origin in employment.
