<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Under general supervision, develops and utilizes strategies for sourcing and generating USDA and SBA loans. Responsible for initial underwriting and credit review of prospective loan packages for eligibility and reasonableness prior to submission to Synovus GGL credit area. Works independently on business development efforts of USDA and SBA loans with outside COIs.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Generates USDA and SBA loans, deposits and fee income for the regional banking group. Creates strategies and develops a referral network to solicit GGL loan opportunities. Partners with outside COIs to develop new USDA and SBA opportunities. </li><li>Presents loan products to potential clients that are generated from independent sources. Facilitates the application, structures the GGL loan, prepares initial underwriting and credit packages and works cooperatively with the GGL Department through closing. </li><li>Maintains and applies a thorough understanding of USDA and SBA eligibility, policies and structure, bank credit policies, and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages. </li><li>Begins to offer consultative and technical support to external partners in regard to all GGL programs, including USDA B&I, Community Advantage and SBA 7a loans </li><li>Provides excellent customer service, ensuring a high degree of responsiveness and technical lending expertise. Resolves issues, responds to questions and follows up with clients in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations. </li><li>Works closely with business and commercial bankers on business development activities and assists assigned markets meet their strategic goals. Expands existing customer relationships through cross-selling products and services. </li><li>Drives revenue growth and net income to meet or exceed production goals, while generating loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance. </li><li>May participate in developing marketing strategies and conducting promotional activities within the region. </li><li></li></ul> <p>The information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
