<p>Job Title: Senior Accountant</p> <p>Location: Cleveland, OH</p> <p>Business Unit: Head Protection</p> <p>Purpose of Position:</p> <p>This role will be reporting to the Head Protection SBU Accounting Manager. The main responsibility of this position is to play a significant part in the general ledger and month end close process. The person filing this role will also work with the group finance team on reporting requirements and support any financial audit requests that need to be completed. This role will also work closely with other departments when needed and will own the Concur credit card process.</p> <p>Essential Duties and/or Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Complete general ledger and month-end closing</p> </li><li> <p>Bank reconciliations</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Payroll department to prepare payroll accruals and entries</p> </li><li> <p>Keep accrual balances accurate and supported with strong back-up</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain journal entry workbook, logging all journal entries for month end with adequate support for audit purposes</p> </li><li> <p>Track all intercompany transactions</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate between all companies when transactions are posted from Team Wendy side to ensure continuity throughout the business</p> </li><li> <p>Validate with Group that all intercompany accounts are in-balance monthly</p> </li><li> <p>Own Concur credit card program for Team Wendy</p> </li><li> <p>Manage company credit card disbursement</p> </li><li> <p>Train new hires on Concur policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Process credit card payments</p> </li><li> <p>Review expense reports for completeness and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Enter Concur transactions into ledger on a monthly basis</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Research & Development team to keep all funded projects up-to-date with accurate revenue recognition, billing and forecasting</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in any financial audit requests</p> </li><li> <p>Work with the global group team on any reporting requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Support other Accounting and Finance functions when needed - AR, AP, Financial Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Ad Hoc items and other projects as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting or finance </li><li>Minimum of 4 years' experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a similar role </li><li>Proven record of preparing & presenting management accounts & completing external financial account audits </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Excel and PowerPoint </li><li>Ability to work effectively with other functional areas of the business </li><li>Willingness to travel as needed </li></ul> <p>Preferred/Desired Skills or Experiences:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a manufacturing environment </li><li>CPA and/or MBA is a strong plus </li><li>Background in IFS, or other ERP systems </li></ul> <p>About Avon Technologies:</p> <p>We are a world leader in protective equipment, with a reputation for innovative design, high-performance quality and specialist materials expertise.
