<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING EMPLOYEE, PLEASE NAVIGATE TO THE INTERNAL JOB POSTING USING THIS LINK:</p> <p>https://www.myworkday.com/mohegan/d/inst/1$9925/9925$7270.htmld</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position repairs, replaces and installs carpet and padding, cove base vinyl tile and underlayment to include parquet flooring, as well as ceramic, porcelain and quarry tile.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Measures and cuts covering materials, such as rubber, linoleum or cork tile and foundation material (i.e. felt), according to blueprints and sketches, using rule, straightedge, linoleum knife and snips </li><li>Determines high traffic areas and decides the location of seams </li><li>Cuts covering and foundation materials, according to blueprints and sketches </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Sweeps, scrapes, sands or chips dirt and irregularities from base surfaces, and fills cracks with putty, plaster or cement grout to form smooth, clean foundation </li><li>Assists other trades as needed </li><li>Responsible for all department logs and labor recording pertinent to the day to day job duties </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Four years of industrial repair, replacement and installation of carpet and tile experience </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Property layout to include pits, sections and zones </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance </li><li>Mandated safety classes </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs </li><li>Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and climb a ladder </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
