<p>Description:</p> <ul> <li>$20,000 Sign on Bonus and Relocation Assistance available for qualifying candidate* </li><li>Night Shift* </li></ul> <p>Provides direct patient care to acutely and critically ill patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.</p> <p>Reports to: Director of ICU</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Bachelor's degree preferred</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</p> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire</p> <p>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and</p> <p>PALS within 90 days of hire</p> <p>Handle with Care within one year from date of hire</p> <p>Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA or Compact licensure as a Registered Nurse which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board.</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <p>One year of previous ICU or CCU experience strongly preferred.</p> <p>Ability to accept regular on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to facility within 30 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by Department Director, House Supervisor, or Administrator on call.</p> <p>Ability to float to various clinical areas, where qualified and competent.</p>
