<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>This Regional Sanitarian position works closely with public stakeholders, governmental agencies, and private sector industries to address public environmental health needs and provide regulatory and technical support. This technical and professional position conducts field inspections of manufactured food facilities, permitted state institutions and correctional facilities, and provides regulatory enforcement to ensure compliance with state and federal public health and environmental laws, codes, ordinances and standards within programs related to the Office of Environmental Health's Public Health Sanitation Division. Regional Sanitarian respond to complaints related to public health violations and emergencies. Provides support and consultation to local health departments. Provides on-the-job training to new sanitarians as assigned. Va. Code R. §20-4-4et seq. Must possess a valid driver's license.
