Unlock your potential!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>As a Patient Safety Attendant (PSA), you will be a trusted partner in keeping patients safe and cared for during vulnerable times. You will be part of a team that counts on you to help protect patients from harm, bring comfort in moments of stress, and support quality care across the hospital. You will make a real difference for patients and families every day while growing your skills and contributing to our shared mission of caring for and improving human lives.</p> <p>Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Keeping a close watch over patients at high risk for falls or self-harm, staying alert and ready to act while helping them feel secure and supported </li><li>Helping maintain a safe, clutter-free environment by following safety protocols, infection prevention practices, and keeping rooms stocked and organized </li><li>Reporting any changes in patient behavior or condition promptly and partnering with the nursing care team to respond quickly </li><li>Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) like eating, bathing, grooming, and getting comfortable to promote dignity and comfort </li><li>Supporting the nursing team with tasks such as transporting patients, delivering supplies, and helping the unit run smoothly </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date </li><li>Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date </li></ul> <p>HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet.
