<p>Description</p> <p>Veterinary Assistant</p> <p>Park Animal Hospital</p> <p>San Francisco, CA</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $22-$28/hour. The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5-8 hours per day. No Weekends!</p> <p>About You</p> <p>As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support patient care from intake through discharge. In this role, you'll assist with outpatient treatments, collect samples, run basic lab work, support procedures, and help create a smooth, compassionate experience for pets and their families.</p> <p>You care deeply about patient outcomes, and we're committed to supporting your growth and success.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience highly preferred </li><li>Must be comfortable with proper animal restraint, patient handling, and maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment </li><li>Experience giving injections and drawing blood preferred </li><li>Comfortable monitoring anesthesia and using standard patient monitoring equipment </li><li>Collaborative team player who is eager to learn and self-motivated </li><li>Enjoys a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities </li><li>Proficient computer skills </li><li>Able to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Assist with patient restraint, handling, and basic nursing care, including pre- and post-operative support </li><li>Support the veterinary team with treatments, procedures, medication preparation, and sample collection </li><li>Communicate clearly with clients about care instructions, treatment plans, and estimates </li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and enter charges and services in the practice management system </li><li>Help create a clean, efficient, and compassionate experience for patients, clients, and team members </li></ul> <p>You'll Grow with Us</p> <p>Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
