We are a career destination with nearly 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diversity of our community.</p> <p>TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p> <ul> <li>Level II Trauma Center </li><li>Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center </li><li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li><li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li><li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle </li></ul> <p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, four residency programs and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices.</p> <p>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</p> <p>Your Role:</p> <ul> <li>Dedicated to CT Surgery, in collaboration with the surgical team (and others), participates in surgical patients' perioperative assessments. </li><li>Assists surgeons (under direction/supervision of the same) during surgical or invasive operative procedures. </li><li>Participates in postoperative rounds and treatments; evaluates patients' progress toward obtaining desired outcomes. </li><li>Assess patients' and/or family members' knowledge level; provides appropriate education to same. </li><li>Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein. </li></ul> <p>Reports To:</p> <ul> <li>RN [Registered Nurse]/Nurse Manager (JC: 031001) </li></ul> <p>Supervises:</p> <ul> <li>None. </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY</p> <p>Required Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in nursing. </li><li>Successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accredited by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in nursing. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years of perioperative registered nursing experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years of perioperative first assistance experience. </li></ul> <p>Required Certification/License/Registry:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certified instructor. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Certification/License/Registry:</p> <ul> <li> <p>One or more of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential from AORN.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery (RNAS-C) credential from the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC).</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) credential from NASC.</p> </li><li> <p>Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
