<p>At Chick-fil-A East Doral DTO, a Back-of-House Shift Leader is someone who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture, and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for excellence in food quality and kitchen operations, take initiative, and work with a strong sense of urgency at all times.</p> <p>Our Back-of-House Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence. A Back-of-House Shift Leader's two main areas of focus are executing kitchen operations efficiently and coaching/developing Back-of-House Team Members. They lead by example and set the standard for speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork in the kitchen.</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time and Part-time </li></ul> <p>Our Benefits Include:</p> <ul> <li>A fun work environment where you can positively influence others </li><li>Flexible scheduling (and closed on Sundays) </li><li>Learning first-hand from an experienced Operator and Restaurant Leaders </li><li>Intentional growth and development to help you reach your professional goals </li><li>Scholarship opportunities </li><li>Competitive pay </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee Back of House operations during assigned shifts </li><li>Ensure food quality, accuracy, speed, and presentation meet Chick-fil-A standards </li><li>Maintain strict adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation procedures </li><li>Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members in real time </li><li>Manage shift execution including station placement, breaks, and production flow </li><li>Monitor product levels and communicate needs proactively </li><li>Partner closely with Front of House leaders to ensure smooth handoff and service flow </li><li>Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and effectively </li><li>Uphold Chick-fil-A values and culture on every shift </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred </li><li>Previous kitchen or leadership experience preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of food safety and operational procedures, with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail. </li><li>Dependable, coachable, and solution-oriented </li><li>Clear communicator with a team-first mindset </li><li>Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively </li><li>Must be at least 18 years old </li><li>Willing and able to work a flexible schedule </li><li>Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis </li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>No education required </li></ul> <p>Most Chick-fil-A Restaurants are operated by independent franchised business owners who make all their own employment decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.</p> <p>Working at a Chick-fil-A restaurant is more than a job - it's an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment.
