<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>$7500 Sign On Bonus for external applicants</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>The mammography tech is responsible for detecting breast tissue abnormalities by completing mammographic imaging studies presenting them for diagnosis.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li>Greets patients by confirming patient identification; reviewing imaging request; checking for special instructions; confirming anticipated service with patients. </li><li>Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures explaining equipment; answering questions. </li><li>Conducts mammography study by positioning breasts; adjusting compression mechanisms instructing patient to hold breath; retreating to lead protected area; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors; activating equipment to take image; releasing compression mechanisms. </li><li>Maintains production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures; observing mammogram results; determining necessary adjustments for optimum results; retaking mammograms as required; forwarding completed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology; Associates Degree or above required. </li><li>Licensure: Connecticut Radiology license. </li><li>Certification: ARRT and Mammography Certified. </li><li>Skills: Minimum 3 years working experience in the mammography modality preferred in an acute care setting. </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Great benefits </li><li>Health Insurance Coverage </li><li>Learning Environment </li><li>Excellent Team </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England is an integrated health care delivery system that is comprised of world-class providers and facilities dedicated to full spectrum preventative, acute, and post-acute care.
