<p>Summary</p> <p>Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. ("Harbor Capital") is seeking an entry-level Accountant to join its highly motivated and innovative Fund Administration and Analysis Team. The Accountant will assist with fund expense management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational processes while developing a strong foundation in investment fund accounting. This position offers exposure to senior management, collaboration across departments, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives. The preferred candidate demonstrates a keen interest in the stock market and possesses strong analytical skills, consistently delivering accurate and timely results. This individual proactively identifies opportunities for process enhancement and actively contributes to the achievement of both team and organizational objectives.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in the preparation of annual fund budgets and periodic updates.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare fund expense calculations and support the fund invoicing process.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare monthly fund expense ratio analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in producing reporting and materials for Harbor Funds/ETF Trust Board of Trustees.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in calculating fund dividend distributions and reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile fund transaction activity and draft accounting journal entries.</p> </li><li> <p>Review of custodian accounting records and reports for accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with review of fund performance reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in process improvement, automation, and technology enhancement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Behavioral Expectations</p> <ul> <li> <p>Drives for Results</p> </li><li> <p>Strategic Thinking</p> </li><li> <p>Agility & Adaptability</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.</p> </li><li> <p>0-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply).</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of financial instruments.</p> </li><li> <p>CPA or CPA candidate preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Availability to work from the Chicago headquarters office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.</p> </li><li> <p>Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</p> </li><li> <p>Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivots, and data reconciliation.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or AI-assisted research tools preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000</p> <p>This position is a hybrid opportunity based in our Chicago office. #LI-Hybrid</p>
