<p>Fire Inspector</p> <p>$22.69/hour; 40 hours/week</p> <p>Closing Date: Until Filled</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree in fire science, public safety, or related field preferred </li><li>Experience in public speaking and interpersonal skills required </li><li>Prior experience in Fire Services is desirable </li><li>Certified Fire Inspector I (ICC) within six (6) months after completing the ICC Inspector Class </li><li>Certified Fire Inspector II (ICC) within six (6) months after completing Fire Inspector I (ICC) </li><li>Certified Fire Plans Examiner (ICC) within six (6) months after completing Fire Inspector II (ICC) </li><li>Fire & Life Safety Educator Certification </li><li>Valid South Carolina driver's License </li></ul> <p>The Fire Inspector is responsible for inspecting buildings and properties to ensure compliance with fire codes, regulations, and city ordinances. They play a vital role in fire prevention by identifying potential hazards, educating the public on fire safety, and enforcing applicable codes.
