Join an organization where your work contributes to a greater purpose.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Develop quantitative models for interest rates, fixed income securities and derivative valuation and counterparty risk calculation and implement the models through programming languages. </li><li>Review academic/industry literatures and Freddie Mac's documents and applicable policies and standards, inquiry internal/external stakeholders to understand model development requirements. </li><li>Document model development background, theories, assumptions, limitations, results, implementations, and process flows. </li><li>Perform analysis to test the developed models. Analysis could include impact analysis, sensitivity analysis, what-if scenario analysis, stress testing, and back-testing. </li><li>Collaborate with various areas of stakeholders in model development projects. Stakeholders include risk manager, portfolio manager, financial engineering, model governance, model reviewers, IT, and project manager. </li><li>Maintain model applications for model implementation, data storage and risk reporting. </li><li>Execute plans and procedures periodically to provide model parameter update, monitor model performance, generate reports for stakeholders. </li><li>Identify and report process issues and propose remediating actions. </li><li>Perform ad-hoc tasks related to responsible models. </li><li>Position is eligible for part-time telecommuting. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Master's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field, and demonstrated knowledge* of the following:</p> <ul> <li>General business, finance, fixed-income, and mortgage products. </li><li>Applying techniques from finance, statistics, mathematics, and data science for quantitative modeling problems. </li><li>At least five of the following programming languages/applications: MATLAB, Python, Excel, VBA, C++, SQL, and Visio. </li><li>Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.</p> <p>This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $101,000 - $151,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.</p>
