<p>About the Role</p> <p>This Assistant Designer position will provide design support for Men's and Women's Denim and Non-Denim Bottoms.</p> <p>You'll Make a Difference By</p> <ul> <li>Centric/PLM Package Issuance: Issuing development packages to vendors including sketches, BOM, design reviews, sample requests. </li><li>SMU Design/Bottoms: Setting up color cads for account review, issue packages, review samples </li><li>Replenishment/Counter-source Product Development: Assisting with sketch and BOM management for carryover product, including identifying sketch and BOM detail consistency for counter-sourcing. </li><li>Sample Review: Assisting in identifying variances in color, scale, stitching quality/SPI, measurement specs between design product/trim submit and the vendor's sample and provide clear comments to vendor. Garments and pocket mock-ups. </li><li>Factory Correspondence: Assisting in communicating design comments and package issuance to vendors. </li><li>Misc.: Taking on miscellaneous projects including sample management, line presentation, sales meeting preparation, design tools, BOM and sketch alignment, etc. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>About You</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years design experience with basic knowledge of outdoor workwear and/or denim product design and construction preferred </li><li>Exceptional communication skills-verbal, written, and strong ability to communicate visually (key trend images, photographs, diagrams, sketches) </li><li>Positive learning mindset who is motivated, enthusiatic, and performs well in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic team environment </li><li>Ability to follow established processes </li><li>Detail orientated with outstanding follow-through </li><li>Ability to prioritize work, handle mutliple tasks and meet calendar deadlines independently of supervision </li><li>Responsive to feedback and capable of adapting quickly to change </li><li>2-3 years Adobe Illustrator (CADS, Design Sketches) </li><li>Experience with PLM (Centric is a plus) </li></ul> <p>About Ariat</p> <p>Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.
