The successful candidate</p> <p>will provide support through the APEX e-learning platform in Math, English, Social Studies, and</p> <p>Science, while also fostering a positive and structured learning environment. Strong classroom</p> <p>management skills and familiarity with Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) are</p> <p>essential, as you will work with a diverse population of students from various ages and</p> <p>backgrounds.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Ohio Teaching License, Substitute license or willing to obtain.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a school environment with at risk youth.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to utilize restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching approaches to create a supportive educational atmosphere.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in an engaging and culturally responsive environment to support the needs of the youth.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to model a positive image in dress, behavior, language, and attitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness and ability to work as a team member</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.</p> </li><li> <p>Physically fit with the ability to perform restraints when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>History of good job attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.</p> </li></ul> <p>For full job description click here.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.
