Here, you will make an impact by:</p> <ul> <li>Managing and leading an engineering organization focused on improving safety, quality, service and productivity improvements. </li><li>Driving EHS culture improvements through daily and weekly engagement with all operations on the site. </li><li>Providing direct supervision and coaching daily for direct reports and adjacent manufacturing functions. </li><li>Developing and executing a continuous improvement plan that aligns with the manufacturing plant and business strategic objectives to drive assets OEE. </li><li>Responsible for aligning with business supply chain partners to support new product introductions and key business objectives </li><li>Developing and execution of an automation roadmap that supports the manufacturing plant objectives. </li><li>Utilizing and coaching team to use systematic methodologies, such as root cause analysis, to identify and implement solutions to complex manufacturing problems. </li></ul> <p>Your Skills and Expertise</p> <p>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) </li><li>Ten (10) years in engineering and/or manufacturing operations experience in a private, public, government, or military environment </li><li>Five (5) years of supervisory and/or managerial experience </li></ul> <p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p> <ul> <li>Experience managing and/or supervising direct reports </li><li>Demonstrated strong leadership ability and history of leading and developing high-performance teams </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of principle-based leadership and behaviors </li><li>Experience in leading strategic and organizational development, operational excellence, lean implementation, financial accounting </li></ul> <p>Work location:</p> <ul> <li>Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Ames, IA. </li></ul> <p>Travel: May include up to 5% domestic</p> <p>Relocation: May be authorized</p> <p>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</p> <p>Supporting Your Well-being</p> <p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
