<p>The District Attorney's Office of the Eastern Judicial Circuit has an opening for a Criminal Investigator I. If you meet the minimum qualifications, you are encouraged to apply.</p> <ul> <li>Assist Assistant District Attorneys by drafting reports, reviewing case files, and reviewing both active and potential criminal cases for prosecution.  </li><li>Utilize strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex matters under time constraints.  </li><li>Locate and conduct interviews with victims, witnesses, and suspects, serve subpoenas, and transport witnesses.  </li><li>Utilize your knowledge of the court system in performing daily tasks.  </li><li>Provide testimony in criminal proceedings and before the Grand Jury.  </li><li>Operate various office equipment, computer software, tools, and supplies to complete work assignments.  </li><li>Use and maintain an issued duty weapon and a county vehicle.  </li><li>Utilize excellent writing abilities and the ability to work within a team setting.  </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigations, Law Enforcement, or a related field, and </li><li>At least two (2) years of law enforcement or investigative experience; or  </li><li>Any equivalent combination of training and experience.  </li><li>Must be a Police Officer currently certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST). </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li></ul>
