<p>A Carter Lumber Framing Field Supervisor will manage the framing process for single and multi-family homes according to blueprints and customers contracts. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques will be vital in this position's success as well as, a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>3-4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial construction primarily in framing </li><li>Ability to read blueprints </li><li>Strong knowledge of building materials and tools </li><li>Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under time constraints </li><li>Possess strong math skills </li><li>Ability to follow directions both written and verbal </li><li>Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems </li><li>Knowledgeable in scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Construction:</p> <ul> <li>Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning of the job to ensure that quality construction can be done. </li><li>Reviews construction documents and understands material needed to build. </li><li>Frames buildings according to blueprint. </li><li>Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times. </li><li>Coordinate with the team to ensure that the material is delivered and that the labor broker receives a copy of the plans. </li><li>Schedule the delivery according to the builder's Construction Manager schedule and ensure that the material is delivered. </li><li>Once the framing has started, the Framing Manager must ensure that the laborers frame in compliance with OSHA, builders and Carter Lumber standards and rules, including cleanliness and safety. </li><li>Ensures that the project is completed in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Customer Service:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures that customers are given the highest quality of workmanship. </li><li>This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company's code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Training:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for acquiring the training needed to build the product safely and efficiently. </li><li>Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers. </li></ul> <p>Benefits (full-time employees)</p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision (Single and Family Plans) available after 30 days of employment </li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Company-paid life insurance and AD&D </li><li>Optional supplemental life insurance </li><li>Company-match 401(k) </li><li>Vacation time and paid holidays </li><li>Vendor incentives </li><li>Room for growth; we promote from within! </li><li>Military encouraged to apply! </li></ul>
