Join a team that celebrates differences and empowers growth.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>As a Residential Counselor, you will support individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities in a home setting. Help them build independence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully with their community.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, mobility, hygiene). </li><li>Support daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping, money management). </li><li>Encourage independence and self-advocacy. </li><li>Facilitate community involvement and relationships. </li><li>Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and behavioral supports. </li><li>Administer medications per MAP guidelines. </li><li>Provide transportation to appointments, programs, and social activities. </li><li>Communicate using tools suited to individual needs (email, tablets, letter boards). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>CNA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>Valid driver's license with clean driving record. </li><li>Ability to lift 25-75 lbs and perform physical tasks. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office). </li></ul> <p>BAMSI conducts as needed, job-related background checks (may include, but is not limited to, fingerprints, drug testing, TB testing, verification of employment history and/or reference checks) prior to employment.</p> <p>BAMSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
