<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Clark University's Athletic Department seeks to fill the position of Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the men's lacrosse program, including but not limited to: recruiting, eligibility, game and practice plans, budget preparation and monitoring, scheduling, supervising and monitoring assistant coaches, public relations and the promotion of their sport and department.</p> <ul> <li>Identify and recruit student athletes who are capable of competing successfully at the NCAA Division III level and who are capable of succeeding academically. </li><li>Cultivate a team culture that is respectful and inclusive of every member in the program. </li><li>Develop seasonal practice and game plans. </li><li>Ensure that appropriate safety precautions are taken during practice, games and during team travel. </li><li>Work with administrators to stay within fiscal and budgetary guidelines. </li><li>Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork. </li><li>Organize and administer the recruiting of prospective student-athletes in accordance with the NCAA, NEWMAC, and Clark University policies and procedures. </li><li>Develop a conditioning program along with practices </li><li>Meet with players during the season and conduct post season interviews </li><li>Maintain accurate record keeping and transparency within the program </li><li>Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations </li><li>Discipline student-athletes for infractions of rules, regulations and policies. </li><li>Lead the implementation of departmental recruiting best practices, provide training and support for coaches in utilizing data management tools, and collaborate with Athletic Communications to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and alignment with institutional goals. </li><li>Track and analyze recruitment metrics to drive informed decision-making </li><li>Represent the department at recruitment events </li><li>Engage and foster lasting relationships with alumni, family and friends of Clark University </li><li>Perform other functions as assigned by management </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred </li><li>Coaching experience required. </li><li>Knowledge and passion for the sport of men's lacrosse </li><li>Possess valid driver's license. </li><li>CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required and can be provided by Clark University. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and communicate with student athletes </li><li>Commitment and dedication to academic success </li><li>Strong organizational and developmental skills </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse population </li><li>Knowledge of Teamworks Recruiting software or Slate is preferred </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>At Clark University we believe that diversity of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to a more innovative and productive work environment.
