<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager that will partner with business unit market leaders to develop and support positioning strategies with existing and potential customers to win project work.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Generate and foster business opportunities </li><li>Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels </li><li>Partner with business unit market leaders in implementing positioning strategies </li><li>Network with and develop Mortenson's targeted customers, design professionals, and partner companies </li><li>Actively research project opportunities through networking, personal relationships, cold calls, reading of publications, attending community events, and participating in industry organizations </li><li>Champion lead identification and generation </li><li>Perform market trends analysis and manage the coordination of introductory meetings with prospective customers </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field </li><li>Minimum seven years business development experience in construction and/or engineering industry </li><li>Proven experience in tracking and managing wide range of leads, focusing on follow-through and closure </li><li>Current driver's license </li><li>Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices </li><li>Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level </li><li>Strong knowledge of construction market </li><li>Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback </li><li>Ability to travel up to 25% </li><li>Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use </li></ul> <p>A few benefits offered include:</p> <p>(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)</p> <ul> <li>Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage </li><li>Dental plan </li><li>401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match </li><li>Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves </li><li>Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance </li><li>No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Adoption Assistance </li><li>Gym Membership Discount Program </li></ul> <p>The base pay range for this role is $133,300 - $200,000.
