Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>This role will assist in the diagnosis of heart disease according to established standards. This role will work to recognize normal and abnormal characteristics of cardiovascular abnormalities in a variety of settings. In addition to performance of Transthoracic Echocardiograms, is also proficient in and available for working in one of the following areas: Stress Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, IR/OR Echocardiography, Clinical Instructor. As a Cardiac Sonographer, understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care in regards to their growth and development process. The position actively supports the Hospital's and Department's Continuous Quality Improvement and customer service goals, individually and as an effective team member. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.</p> <p>Other information:</p> <p>Required Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program. </li><li>Certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). </li><li>Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred </li><li>Competent and proficient in Transthoracic Echocardiography and in one of the following areas of imaging or support: </li></ul> <p>o Stress Echo</p> <p>o Transesophageal Echocardiography</p> <p>o IR/OR Echocardiography</p> <p>o Clinical Instructor for Echocardiography Program under contracted Clinical Affiliation Agreement</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Has a working knowledge of the IT systems that support the modality. </li><li>Ability to identify and flag abnormalities. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Requires full range body motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary.
