We are looking for a dedicated Manager Physician Advisor Coordination like you to be a part of our team.</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Physician Advisor Coordinator will lead a team of coordinators in support of Physician Advisor peer to peer work efforts with external health plans. This individual will partner with multiple enterprise teams such as Case Management, Corporate Utilization Review Services (URS) team, Pre-bill Denial Units (PDU), and on Authorization and Medical Necessity Denials. Daily interaction among senior leadership, external payers, auditors and the Shared Service Center (SSC) to facilitate communication, Payer Contracting & Alignment (PCA), and actions related to the denial management processes.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership and guidance to physician advisor coordinators </li><li>Oversee the technical assistance and compliance monitoring, and management of staff </li><li>Prepare reports and documents for management as requested </li><li>Plan, evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality and output </li><li>Ability to work independently - time management- good attendance - confidentiality </li><li>Responsible for setting up and coordinating Peer to Peer (P2P) reviews for Physician Advisors (PA) </li><li>Work with URS and Division PA's on denial and P2P strategies </li><li>Manages multiple calendars and sending/receiving appointment invites through Outlook </li><li>Maintain knowledge of commercial payer denial, authorization strategies/ practices, and contractual agreements </li><li>Possess current knowledge of CMS, Corporate and Division UR requirements and billing procedures </li><li>Monitor P2P's and observation (OBS) vs inpatient (IP) cases </li><li>Monitor and update MIDAS with pertinent information </li><li>Prepare monthly P2P reports from multiple data sources </li><li>Maintain P2P impact report for the Physician Advisors </li><li>Attends Monthly DMAT calls to provide impact on new denials </li><li>Practice and adheres to the HCA corporate culture, "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statements." </li><li>Special projects as needed. </li><li>Work with coordinators in timely completion of all peer to peers and deadline notifications of the physician advisors </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>College degree Preferred </li><li>Minimum of 2 - 3 years of Denial Coordinator, PDU, SSC and/or PTAC experience preferred </li></ul> <p>"Good people beget good people."- Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr.</p> <p>HCA Healthcare Co-Founder</p> <p>We are a family 270,000 dedicated professionals!
