As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Excavation Operator to join our team, supporting sewer service projects that involve the installation, maintenance, and repair of buried sewer, water, and gas utility lines.</p> <p>Ideal candidates will hold a valid excavation equipment operator's license, with OSHA 30 certification preferred.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate a variety of heavy excavation equipment including backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, and other machines as needed. </li><li>Perform digging, trenching, and grading tasks in preparation for construction and site development. </li><li>Ensure precise and accurate excavation according to project plans and specifications. </li><li>Conduct daily pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. </li><li>Maintain a high standard of safety by following all safety procedures and wearing proper protective equipment. </li><li>Work with project supervisors and site managers to ensure excavation work is completed efficiently and to specifications. </li><li>Communicate effectively with other crew members and contractors on site to coordinate work and ensure smooth operations. </li><li>Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major repairs to maintenance personnel. </li><li>Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, as required. </li><li>Maintain and organize the work area to ensure a safe and clean environment. </li><li>Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as an Excavation Operator or similar role in construction or related field. </li><li>Valid operator's license for excavation equipment (e.g., Excavator, Backhoe, Dozer). </li><li>Certification in heavy equipment operation; OSHA 30 cert preferred </li><li>In-depth knowledge of excavation techniques and safety standards. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and other technical documents. </li><li>Strong understanding of construction methods and materials. </li><li>Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively, even in challenging conditions. </li><li>Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks as required. </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in excavation operations is a plus. </li><li>Previous experience working on large construction projects. </li><li>Familiarity with GPS and laser-guided excavation systems. </li></ul>
