<p>Welder 2 | Royal Truck Body | Carson, CA</p> <p>Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $25.00 - 27.00</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>The Welder position is responsible for welding various materials associated with the company's product lines including, but not limited to, truck bodies, chassis, and specialty vehicles.</p> <p>Master all duties related to Welder-1 Level.</p> <p>Able to fix order that have quality flaws such as doors, floors, lids, tailgates, platforms, etc.</p> <p>Should be accustomed to working with electro galvanized material (10 GA to 20 GA).</p> <p>Should be accustomed to working with Galvanized sheet metal, 10 GA to 1/2"tubing.</p> <p>Should have at least 4+ years working as a Welder</p> <p>Truck body experience preferred.</p> <p>Ability to make full body assemblies unsupervised.</p> <p>Conduct physical inspections to assess the strength and stability of each joint.</p> <p>What you need to be successful:</p> <p>Display proficiency in hand tools such as rivet guns, electric tools, pressure gauges, etc.</p> <p>Ability to understand measurement on tape measure to 1/64'</p> <p>Knowledge of sheet metal (gauges)</p> <p>HS Diploma or GED required</p> <p>AWS Certification preferred</p> <p>Strong and consistent attention to detail</p> <p>Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task</p> <p>Team oriented</p> <p>Must understand AWS welding symbols</p> <p>Must be able to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines</p> <p>Willing to:</p> <p>Learn and rotate within various weld areas</p> <p>Wear PPE respirators for an extended amount of time</p> <p>Improve self/area/company (including pursuing additional training, if needed)</p> <p>Able to work overtime on short notice</p> <p>Why The Shyft Group?</p> <p>Our people are our greatest asset, and your success is our success!
