<p>Category: Staff</p> <p>Show Job Details for Parking Enforcement Officer</p> <p>Apply Now for Parking Enforcement Officer</p> <ul> <li>Serve as an ambassador for campus when interacting and assisting customers and the general public. </li><li>Issue citations to vehicles parked in violation of parking regulations. </li><li>Immobilize and/or tow vehicles as warranted. </li><li>Direct traffic and assist with special events as needed. </li><li>Evaluate condition of parking lots. Report maintenance needs. </li><li>Recommend improvements to parking regulations and operations as related to their area of responsibility in the department. </li><li>Provide support in the field to the Special Events Manager in implementing large special event parking operations. This may include equipment management, data collection, traffic management and cash handling. </li><li>Report aging, unreadable or missing signs. </li><li>Conduct periodic space inventory surveys. </li><li>Perform maintenance on parking equipment as needed. </li><li>Support Logistics units (Procurement, Surplus, Post Office) as needed per request of management </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>A high school diploma or GED </li><li>Must have a valid drivers license and be approved to operate University vehicles. </li><li>Demonstrate technical aptitude and the ability to learn how to work with and troubleshoot simple mechanical and electronic equipment. </li><li>Prior work experience should include two years of customer service and/or working directly with the public. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $14.00</p> <p>Kentucky state law requires all public institutions of postsecondary education to conduct pre-employment criminal background checks to determine suitability for employment.</p> <p>Western Kentucky University (WKU) is committed to a policy and practice of providing equal employment and educational opportunities to all individuals.
