This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.</p> <p>HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE</p> <p>Performs set-up and welding on a variety of weldments and structures following written job instructions or standardized methods and procedures utilizing fixtures and jigs. Set up, operate, adjust, and regulate welding machines to produce high quality weldments and blades for the companys lines of commercial snow and ice control products. Actively participates in a team environment. Perform designated maintenance functions, assumes ownership for quality of weldments, participates in training, performs daily 6S activities, and maintains safety standards.</p> <p>In this role, you will leverage your skills, experience, and perspective to make a meaningful impact. Youll collaborate with teammates across the organization, contribute ideas, and help deliver results that matter for our customers and our business.</p> <p>HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE</p> <ul> <li>Maintains good housekeeping and 6S. </li><li>Adheres to all health and safety rules. </li><li>Produce quality welded components to daily production requirements. </li><li>Scrap reduction and quality control. </li><li>Ability to work within a group to achieve team goals. </li><li>Willingness to work overtime as necessary. </li><li>Follow Douglas Dynamics rules regarding work and conduct. </li></ul> <p>WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS</p> <ul> <li>Education: Welding Technology Degree or Welding Technical Diploma desirable. </li><li>Experience: 1 to 2 years welding in a production setting desired. Strong basic math skills and ability to read blueprints are required.
