Apex has an opportunity for an HR Specialist in CT.</p> <p>Here are the details:</p> <p>Position: HR Specialist (0-2 years of experience)</p> <p>Location: Onsite 5x per week in Berlin, CT</p> <p>Rate: Negotiable Based on Experience</p> <p>Duration: 8+ month contact w/ possibility of extension</p> <p>Position Description:</p> <p>The main function of a human resources specialist is to plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities of an organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions. A typical human resources specialist is responsible for a wide range of organization development activities, such as employee compensation, recruitment (as it relates to policy), personnel policies and regulatory compliance.</p> <ul> <li>Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification program. </li><li>Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary. </li><li>Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales. </li><li>Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks. </li><li>Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to come onsite in Berlin, CT</p> </li><li> <p>Strong customer service skills (call center type skillset)</p> </li><li> <p>MS 365 skills</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of HR basics/ benefits enrollment</p> </li><li> <p>Legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).</p> </li><li> <p>Benefit and pay-scale systems (billing background)</p> </li><li> <p>Workday, Towers Watson, Zendesk, ServiceNow</p> </li><li></li><li> <p>Soft Skills:</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Great collaborator</p> </li><li> <p>Multitasking</p> </li><li> <p>Strong time management skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Benefits:</p> <p>For this opportunity, you will also be eligible for benefits through Apex for the contract period, 401K, medical/health benefits options, a W2 hourly rate, weekly pay, and direct deposit!</p> <p>Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
