<p>Senior ACH Operations Analyst</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Senior Operations Analyst - ACH role designs, manages, and maintains the ACH payments operations at Fortis Bank. The position resides in the Treasury Operations Department and reports to the Treasury Operations Manager. The Treasury Operations Department is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the movement of cash in and out of the bank. The department is a primary line of defense protecting the bank from fraud and loss and must react with high urgency to daily activity. Team members interact with many bank functions that require immediate response times and high service levels.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Senior Operations Analyst - ACH is the bank payments and operations leader who will:</p> <p>Oversee ACH Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Set up and maintain the ACH payment parameters in the Bank's core operation platform, with strategic partners, and other payment infrastructure. </li><li>Ensure timely and correct daily processing of ACH files including exception handling. </li><li>Monitor, manage, and resolve ACH issues, including returns, NOCs, disputes, reversals, etc. </li></ul> <p>Provide Quality Service:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for ACH issues rising from Bank, client and strategic partners. </li><li>Research and resolve complex Bank and customer requests arising from problematic ACH transactions. </li><li>Partner with Accounting to reconcile ACH debits and credits with the general ledger as necessary. </li><li>Establish and retain effective working relationships with Bank staff. </li></ul> <p>Improve ACH Efficiency and Effectiveness:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver management reports summarizing activity and status. </li><li>Develop Standard Operating Procedures to ensure adherence to policy and NACHA rules. </li><li>Build backlog of process improvement projects and execute as part of business-as-usual. </li></ul> <p>Manage Risk:</p> <ul> <li>Firmly stand behind and ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures to prevent fraud or loss - as well as OFAC standards. </li><li>Review and influence ACH policy </li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NACHA rules and adjust Bank protocols to ensure compliance. </li><li>Support internal, external, and NACHA audit and compliance activity. </li></ul> <p>Advance Institutional Knowledge and Capabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Obtain and/or maintain NACHA AAP and other payment certifications. </li><li>Train Treasury Operations staff on ACH procedures and oversee proper execution. </li><li>Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing ACH and other payment technologies. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years in banking or financial services environment. </li><li>2+ years exposure and experience with all facets of ACH payments. </li><li>2+ years working with core banking and payment technologies. </li><li>NACHA AAP certification or demonstrable knowledge of NACHA rules. </li><li>Deep understanding of compliance and risk management in the payments industry. </li><li>Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and team-oriented environment. </li><li>Self-starter with ability to operate with minimal supervision. </li><li>Strong organizational time management skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly grasp concepts and processes with limited guidance from management. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>A positive and collaborative approach with both peers and management </li><li>Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work on consistently changing priorities with enthusiasm </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</p> <p>Location: Midvale, UT</p> <p>Reporting Structure: Reports Treasury Operations Manager</p> <p>Office Requirements: 4 days per week in office</p> <p>About Fortis Bank</p> <p>Fortis Bancorp is the $1.3 billion bank holding company for Fortis Bank.
