We seek differences of opinion, life experience and perspective to represent the diversity of our policyholders and achieve the best possible outcomes.</p> <p>This position is hybrid and requires onsite days at our Lincoln, RI campus.</p> <p>This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>Uses analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities to gather requirements, extract data, and produce reports and visualizations to meet internal customer needs. Leverages data to gain key insights into business opportunities and effectively presents these to business stakeholders. Provides domain expertise based on a deep understanding of the data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business intelligence best practices. Knowledge of relational database theory, visual storytelling, and a passion for data are required.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Translate and summarize data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts to convey information to management. Will be responsible for building and maintaining reporting dashboards for end users </li><li>Serve as a liaison between business users and technical resources </li><li>Identify and analyze significant trends that affect the organization and their key drivers to optimize business decisions </li><li>Write SQL or other querying code to extract and manipulate data from database systems </li><li>Ensure accuracy of data results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data </li><li>Committed to continuous professional improvement and displays a desire to learn the new and different (through conferences, publications, courses, local academia, and meet ups). </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in data analytics/science, computer science, or any related field </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong knowledge of PowerBI, including building dashboards/reports from scratch (DAX, Power Query a plus) </li><li>Strong coding knowledge (SQL, Python, R) </li><li>Experience with Data Warehouse principles </li><li>Knowledge of Agile methodology tools such as Jira and Confluence </li><li>Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse preferred </li><li>Knowledge of Life Insurance principles a plus </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision coverage, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance </li><li>Paid Vacation - you will receive at least 13 vacation days in the first 12 months, amounts could be greater depending on the role.
