<p>Summary:</p> <p>Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in various construction projects.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. </li><li>Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems. </li><li>Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly. </li><li>Transmit and explain work orders to laborers. </li><li>Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders. </li><li>Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered. </li><li>Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals. </li><li>Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance. </li><li>Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, or inspection results. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>May supervise up to 10 employees.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects; carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; see and hear well (naturally or with correction). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, instructions, and procedure manuals. Routine report writing. Effective communication skills vital.</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>High school diploma preferred. Two years related supervisory experience.
