<p>General Definition of Work</p> <p>The transportation maintenance services supervisor, under intermittent supervision, performs supervisory work with limited decision-making discretion managing the vehicular maintenance program at assigned transportation staging site. Position supervises all servicing, scheduled maintenance, fueling, inspections, and minor repairs. Employee performs district-level work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the Assistant Director of Fleet Services.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Salary/Status</p> <p>Salary NC 16/ Full-time, 12 months</p> <p>Reports To</p> <p>Assistant Director of Fleet Services</p> <p>Place of Work</p> <p>The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures </li><li>Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff/programs </li><li>Monitor and inspect work to ensure that it is completed on time and correctly </li><li>Recommend and implement changes when necessary to support improvement </li><li>Schedule the preventative maintenance program for all assigned vehicles using the State computer program </li><li>Coordinate and schedule major repairs with appropriate personnel </li><li>Collaborate on the development of site hours and individual schedules necessary to meet the needs of the transportation department and programs served </li><li>Utilize special analysis and testing equipment, trouble shoots; support and develop staff members </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs when necessary to clear backlog </li><li>Maintain all documentation required at the site to include records of all inspections, repairs and/or maintenance work performed and parts/supplies used </li><li>Establish and maintain an on-site library which contains all manuals and publications needed and/or required to include: The State Preventive Maintenance Manual, CMS Procedures Manual, OSHA, EPA and ADA publications and regulations; Material Safety Data Sheets, and the Hazardous Materials Program. </li><li>Coordinate to maintain a stocked inventory and request orders for any special needed parts and/or supplies </li><li>Monitor NC safety emission standards and vehicle compliance and prepare reports necessary for the NC Department of Public Instruction </li><li>Complete local, state, or federal surveys and reports accurately and promptly </li><li>Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations </li><li>Perform related work as assigned or required </li></ul>
