<p>This position is for an experienced Hot End Exhaust Design and Release (D&R) Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for design and release activities, coordination of supplier deliverables, and quality/warranty issue resolution associated with hot end exhaust systems/subsystems on current and forward model applications.</p> <p>Exhaust Hot End Systems Design & Release Engineer</p> <ul> <li>Lead new/forward model product development of exhaust systems and subsystems in accordance with Ford GPDS deliverables and milestones for NA and global programs. </li><li>Design, develop, validate, and release hot end exhaust systems. </li><li>Lead/Support resolution of all design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues. </li><li>Lead supplier SPMT/CPMT activities. </li><li>Support all program meetings (Design Reviews, PMT Meetings, Change Control, AIMS, Milestone Status, Launch Readiness, Etc.) </li><li>Interface with internal (PD, STA, NVH, VO, VOME, Purchasing/Tof4, Etc.) customers, and external suppliers/sub-suppliers. </li><li>Coordinate supplier prototype builds to ensure successful build events. </li><li>Management of all applicable WERS, FEDE, FEDEBOM, Integrator, FMA, Etc. program activities. </li><li>Create, complete, and approve supplier and internal DV/PV test plans and oversee testing in support of robust validation. </li><li>Lead/Support warranty reduction and issue resolution. </li><li>Lead/Support TVM cost reduction idea generation and implementation. </li><li>Lead/Support change control activities. </li><li>Travel as necessary to Ford Assembly Plants/Facilities and Suppler/Sub-Supplier sites for issue resolution and build support. </li><li>Lead new/forward model product development of exhaust systems and subsystems in accordance with corporate product development systems deliverables and milestones for NA and global programs. </li><li>Design, develop, validate, and release hot end exhaust systems. </li><li>Lead/Support resolution of all design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues. </li><li>Lead supplier APQP and development activities. </li><li>Support all program meetings (Design Reviews, Change Control, AIMS, Milestone Status, Launch Readiness, Etc.) </li><li>Interface with internal (PD, STA, NVH, VO, VOME, Purchasing, Etc.) customers, and external suppliers/sub-suppliers. </li><li>Coordinate supplier prototype builds to ensure successful build events. </li><li>Management and reporting of required program activities in applicable systems and applications. </li><li>Create, complete, and approve supplier and internal DV/PV test plans and oversee testing in support of robust validation. </li><li>Lead/Support warranty reduction and issue resolution. </li><li>Lead/Support TVM cost reduction idea generation and implementation. </li><li>Lead/Support cost and change control activities. </li><li>Travel as necessary to Ford Assembly Plants/Facilities and Suppler/Sub-Supplier sites for issue resolution, quality assessments, and build support. </li></ul>
