We offer robust professional development opportunities, and a competitive benefits package designed to support your career and well-being.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The RRES Center at NLR has an opening for a full time Postdoctoral Researcher within the Synthetic Biology and Bioconversion group. The initial appointment is for one year, with possible renewal up to three years.</p> <p>The successful candidate will work in the Agile BioFoundry (ABF) project to conduct metabolic engineering and synthetic biology to integrate, evolve, and improve new pathways and new genes in engineered bacterial strains for production of performance-advantaged fuels and chemicals from various biomass-derived intermediates. Moreover, the successful candidate will develop new tools for building genome-scale libraries in wild-type and production strains, and integrate these pipelines with colleagues developing new data science pipelines. There is potential also to develop pipelines for automated strain engineering and phenotyping.
