<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Administrative/Clerical/Elementary Move Coordinator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>3/5/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Acton Boxborough Regional Schools - Elementary</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>04/01/2026</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>03/27/2026</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position Type: Temporary (Hourly)</p> <p>Time Period: April 1 September 1</p> <p>Expected Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week (average; workload will fluctuate based on project phase); must be available at variable hours including but not limited to the typical work day/school day</p> <p>Compensation: $35 to $40 an hour</p> <p>Reports To: Deputy Superintendent and Director of Operations</p> <p>Works In Close Partnership With: Director of Facilities</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Elementary Summer Relocation Coordinator will lead and manage the comprehensive planning and execution of significant classroom and school relocations across the district's elementary schools. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination for all aspects of the moving process, ensuring that transitions are organized, efficient, clearly communicated, and completed on schedule.</p> <p>This role requires exceptional organizational discipline, operational judgment, and the ability to manage complexity in a high-change, deadline-driven environment.</p> <p>Core Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Planning & Systems Development</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain a master relocation timeline spanning April through completion of summer moves. </li><li>Design and implement clear districtwide move protocols, including packing procedures, labeling systems, inventory tracking, and deadlines. </li><li>Establish school-specific relocation plans in collaboration with principals and central office leadership. </li><li>Create and manage tracking systems for furniture, instructional materials, and classroom assets. </li></ul> <p>Facilities & Vendor Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Partner closely with the Director of Facilities to align classroom moves with facilities readiness, custodial schedules, and capital or maintenance work. </li><li>Serve as primary liaison with moving companies and other contracted vendors. </li><li>Confirm scope of work, schedules, access logistics, and performance expectations. </li><li>Coordinate furniture placement plans, storage logistics, and room setup requirements. </li><li>Ensure receiving spaces are operationally ready (furniture, materials, technology coordination). </li></ul> <p>Staff Communication & Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide clear, proactive communication to elementary teachers affected by relocations. </li><li>Offer individualized guidance to staff moving within buildings and across buildings. </li><li>Develop written guidance documents, timelines, and FAQs to ensure clarity and consistency. </li><li>Maintain high responsiveness to inquiries and problem-solving needs. </li></ul> <p>Execution & Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Oversee implementation during peak summer move activity. </li><li>Monitor adherence to established timelines and quality standards. </li><li>Troubleshoot logistical challenges in real time and escalate issues appropriately. </li><li>Ensure all relocated classrooms are instructionally functional and ready for the start of the school year. </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain detailed documentation of room assignments, inventory transfers, and completion benchmarks. </li><li>Provide regular progress updates to the Deputy Superintendent and Director of Operations. </li><li>Submit a final summary report including outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for future transitions. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase operational projects. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational systems. </li><li>Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and hold firm to deadlines. </li><li>Calm, solutions-oriented approach in high-stress environments. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>High level of responsiveness and accountability. </li><li>Proficiency with spreadsheets and project-tracking tools. </li></ul> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Apply online</p> <p>We believe that our students deserve to learn from educators who reflect their backgrounds and life experiences, and we want our staff to reflect the wide range of student identities we seek to serve.
