<p>Human Resources Technician</p> <p>Location: 400 South Fort Harrison Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33756</p> <p>Work Schedule: On site, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Pinellas County Human Resources is looking for a positive and enthusiastic service-oriented individual to be the initial line of support and first impression to our customers. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop in a broad range of human resources support functions!</p> <p>The primary role of this position is to provide technical and administrative support to the Human Resources Operation's Technology and Onboarding centers of excellence, with an emphasis on customer service, workflow management, and record keeping for the team. This position will greet and service customers (employees, new hires, applicants, vendors and other public visitors) as they enter the building, including providing directions for the Clearwater campus. This position is responsible for preparing regular and special reports and assisting in completion of Human Resources related projects and assignments.</p> <p>What Would You Do?</p> <ul> <li>Perform technical and administrative level assignments in any combination of human resources functions including onboarding, operations technology, and compensation programs. </li><li>Provides fulltime concierge coverage by answering incoming calls, assisting walk-ins, and directing to the appropriate party or providing information as needed. </li><li>Communicates with and assists employees, visitors, and the public about human resources matters, policies, and procedures on behalf of the department. </li><li>Searches application tracking system and Human Resources Record Management system in order to respond to inquiries and public records requests regarding requisitions, applications and onboarding. </li><li>Send reminders to new hires, employees, and hiring managers. </li><li>Create badges utilizing a badging machine </li><li>Communicate with Payroll and provide necessary supporting documents </li><li>Ensure employees receive their New Employee Orientation invites </li><li>Collect mail for Human Resources team and disperse accordingly </li><li>Reviews, verifies, and processes new hires paperwork including E-Verify. </li><li>May assist in conducting fingerprinting, badging and background screening. </li><li>Creates and maintains new employee, I-9 and disciplinary files. </li><li>Reviews, verifies, and processes employee referrals. </li><li>Supports employee data entry and administration. Assists Officers with gathering and preparing regular or special reports and assists in completion of the full range of human resources related projects and assignments. </li><li>Provide notary services when needed. </li><li>Performs other related job duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What Do You Need To Have?</p> <ul> <li>Four (4) years of relevant experience in human resources, customer service, administrative support, or another related field, or; </li><li>Associate degree in HR or related field and at least 2 years of technical or professional experience in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, or; </li><li>Bachelor's degree with major coursework in human resources, personnel administration, business, public administration, or a related field, or; </li><li>An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. </li><li>Florida Notary Certification within 6 months of hire. </li><li>Ability to work in the office 5 days per week. </li><li>Experience with SharePoint, Taleo, SplashBi, WorkDay, E-Verify, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. </li><li>Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. </li></ul> <p>Our benefits rank among the top in the area!</p> <ul> <li>Looking for a strong retirement?
