<p>2025 - 2026 School Year</p> <p>Bridgeport Public Schools</p> <p>Human Resources Department</p> <p>45 Lyon Terrace, Room 324</p> <p>Bridgeport, CT 06604</p> <p>JOB OPENING</p> <p>INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST (0039)</p> <p>BOE NUTRITION CENTER</p> <p>35-HOURS PER WEEK</p> <p>STARTING SALARY: $68,998.00 (Step 1)-$84,214.00 (Step 6)</p> <p>CURRENT MEMBERS OF NAGE R1-200 WILL BE GIVEN FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain detailed records of inventory changes and record in the data base and spreadsheet </li><li>Invoice reconciliation </li><li>Schedule categories for Cycle Count inventory and maintain strict records </li><li>Perform regularly scheduled audits of the facility's entire inventory </li><li>Provide audit reports to supervisor </li><li>File item returns/credits claims with appropriate vendors as needed for defective merchandise </li><li>Processing of invoices using the Munis Financial System </li><li>Order and maintain inventory of employee uniforms </li><li>Manage Shipping and Receiving Office in collaboration with the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor </li><li>Maintain compliance with Federal, State and local regulations pertaining to School Nutrition Programs </li><li>General office clerical duties </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate </li><li>Clerical and accounting experience </li><li>Detailed oriented </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Familiarity with inventory control devices - barcode scanner </li><li>Strong communication skills both verbal and written </li><li>Understanding and comprehension of basic math operations </li><li>Knowledge of and skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on EXCEL </li><li>Knowledge and experience with the Munis Financial System </li></ul> <p>This job description is not, nor is it intended to be, a complete statement of all duties, functions, responsibilities, qualifications, physical, and cognitive, which comprise this position.
